Assignment #2: Quotes. Quotes, Quotes!

    Harry's quotes....

"Everyone has their own agenda."

This relates to me because it shows that you must take care of your own problems. You must realize that you can't make the entire world revovle around you and you must not make other people carry your burden. This relates to the book because Sal can't make other people worry about her mother.

"Try? There is no try only do or don't."

-Yoda. I think this quote means that you cannot just use half effort on something but you must use all of your effort into what your doing.

Tseoga's quotes...

  "Everyone has their own agenda."

I think it means that everyone has their own plans and you can't make other people worry about them.

"don't judge a man who believe's in the win"

I think it means that you should always belive in yourself.

Hannah C’s quotes- “In the course of a lifetime what does it matter?”

I think this means if you make one or two mistakes in a lifetime it doesn’t really matter. I think this quote relates to Phoebe’s mom because she’s “Miss perfect” and seems afraid of making mistakes.

“Don’t judge a book by it’s cover”

-Unknown

This quote means just because someone looks mean or weird doesn’t mean they are. This relates to me because every now and then I judge someone before I meet them, but then I remember this quote and realize that they’re all right.

Sapana's quotes – “You can’t keep the birds of sadness from flying over your head, but you can keep them from nesting in your hair.”

This quote relates to when Sal’s mom left, and she was in denial for a period of time, but then controlled her feelings, and got to understand that her mom wasn’t coming back.

“Nothing is particularly hard if you break it down into small jobs.”

-Henry Ford

This quote is interesting to me because it pretty much means that you can do a job well, if you take your time on it.

This Pie is very important in the book because it was what brought Sal and her mom together. Everytime Sal sees Blackberries she is reminded of her Mother.

Finding a prince

By: Sapana Gupta

“So, as princess of planet Belac, what shall I do first?” asked Princess Kenned to her loyal peasants, Kelly and Deraj.

“Hmmm… Maybe find a Prince!” suggested Deraj. Princess Kennedy walked over to her whale-sized computer. She searched “Available prince.”

“Princess, you’re looking so soon?” asked Kelly.

“Ummm, yeah!” answered Princess Kennedy. The peasants maoved to their room in the basement.

“Deraj, our plan is working!” whispered Kelly. Deraj sat down.

“Yes, yes… Soon she’ll be so distracted, that she’ll give us all the duties and we can make ourselves rulers!” Deraj cheered. During the next few days, Princess Kennedy was too preoccupied to focus on her duties as princess, so she let her peasants be rulers for one day. But in that day, those peasants changed everything.

“Kelly… Do you think we should change the kingdom’s name from Kennsville to Derelly? I think so… I’ll send a hologram to the decorators!” yelled Deraj. All of a sudden, doors swung open. Princess Kennedy ran through halls!

“You’ve changed everything! You’re awful, awful people!” she screeched.

“We’re aren’t awful people! We’ve just been waiting and waiting for this kind of power, and you gave it to us! You were too worried about finding the perfect prince, you weren’t paying attention to your duties! Everything we did was fair,” Kelly snapped. Deraj flipped his watch open and pressed a botton, “Guards, take Ms. Kennedy to the electric eels,” he said.

“What!? No! You can’t!” Kennedy tried to claw her way out, but didn’t succeed. Two giant robots came through the door, carrying Kennedy out... For good.
